Towards a Transformed and Transforming Community

This was the theme for the 12th Synod Gathering of Church of North India held during 16th to 21st October 2005 at Ranchi.  In order to prepare the cross sections of congregations for a perceptive and meaningful participation, a process to understand and internalize the theme in individual and congregational lives was started much earlier when a Consultation on the theme was organized at CNI Programme Office, Nagpur in the first week of February 2005.  This book contains papers presented by different resource persons challenging readers for holistic transformation.

A Curriculum for Community Study Centers for Tsunami Affected Children in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The Community Study Centre of CNI is an alternative form of education for children who have been at the margins.  Educations, as perceived by CNI, is not only an agent of social change but the very basis of creating a dynamic, liberal and growth oriented society.  Bringing children from the periphery to the centre is the primary concern pf CNI.  The development of this curriculum is a process of the vision for the development of children in Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Report of Project on Tackling Newer Emerging Vulnerabilities Leading to Trafficking in Children and Women in Eastern Himalayan Region

This Report speaks volumes about anti-trafficking programme of CNI in partnership with UNIFEM and USAID.  Eastern Himalayan Region has turned out to be a trafficking hub in women and children.

A Report on CNI’s Intervention in Tsunami Affected Andaman & Nicobar Islands
