CNI Participated in the Workshop on
Community Development, Gabarone,
BOTSWANA
 Mr.
Mervin Macwan and Ms. Angela Nag from the
Church
of
North India
attended the "Workshop on Community Development" at
Gabarone,
Botswana
organized by the Council for World Mission from 18th to 31st
October 2007. The workshop was hosted by United Council of Churches in
Southern Africa (UCCSA), Synod of Botswana (Botswana Council of
Churches).
The delegates
are now back with enriching experiences and learning gained through
sharing of stories, activities with the church, woman, men, youth as
well as the NGO's of
Botswana working specially for HIV/AIDS and unprivileged. There were 19
participants from different CWM regions (Africa, Caribbean, Europe,
South Asia
) of the world. Mervin is a
staff of the Synodical Board of Social Services and Angela is a staff of
the Diocesan Board of Social Services, North East India.
Their perceptive participation in this workshop has given the
message to the delegates from other parts of the world about the network
of community development works done by
Church of North
India
through our DBSSs.
