EKTA - 2007: Awakening of Maharashtra Christian Youth.  

For the first time in its history 130 youth from different Dioceses of Church of North India in Maharashtra came together for EKTA (Unity), the regional youth festival organized at Union of Biblical Seminary, Pune on 10th and 11th November 2007.  The West Indian State of Maharashtra has six Dioceses under the Church of North India namely Pune, Marathwada, Kolhapur, Bombay, Nagpur and Nasik.  

The gathering was addressed by Rt. Rev. Vijay Sathe, Bishop of Pune Diocese, Mr. Kasta Dip , Coordinator, Youth Concerns of Church of North India Synod, Pastor Ganesh, Mr. Ravi Raiborde, Rev. Sudhir Gaikwad and Mr.Ashok Patil.  Theme of Unity became the order of the programme as all the speakers challenged delegates to stay united and unite people for effective service and witness to Christ and his people.  The evenings were mainly spent on cultural activities and sharing of personal stories from participating Dioceses.  The programme also marked some competitions where on the ground of discipline and meaningful participation the Diocese of Marathwada was adjudged the best Diocese in Ekta - 2007.
