Youth Leadership Formation for Transformation  

'I have attended many programmes in my life but no programme has enabled me to develop my skills of leadership so much as this one' was a thrilling testimony shared by a delegate from the Diocese of North East India at the valedictory service conducted on 26th November 2007 on the completion of the Certificate Course on Youth Leadership Development organized by the Church of North India from 15th to 26th November 2007 at the CNI Centre for Human Potential Development, Nagpur.  

Delivering the valedictory address Mr. Sudipta Singh , Director Programmes of the Church of North India Synod encouraged the delegates to actively participate in the mission of God and establishing the Kingdom of God through their service and leadership.  There were 35 delegates from 13 different Dioceses of CNI.  The twelve days long intensive programme is intended to build effective young leaders at different levels of Church of North India .  The Course covered Bible Studies on different contemporary issues, Understand Self, Group and Interpersonal Skills, Communications, Social Analysis, Leadership Development, Gender Concerns, Women Concerns, Dalit and Tribal Concerns of the Church, Ecumenism, Globalization, Human Rights and Mission Priorities of the Church of North India .  The Facilitators were Mr. Sudipta Singh , Rev. S. Paranjyoti, Mr. Rajan Singh, Rev. Asir Ebenezer, Mrs. Rachael Pradhan, Rev. Raj Bharat Patta, Rev. Sameer Khimla, Mr. Philip Vinod Peacock and Mr. Kasta Dip .  

As the programme was held here during the time when the Assembly of Maharashtra was in session the delegates were sent to meet the people groups and organizations staging dharanas on different issues to relate those with the ones written in the Bible.  They also sat with a group called "Nagpur Jhopda Mahasangh" (Nagpur Slums Union) to express their solidarity with the slum dwellers.
