Basil Balea Baskey is new Bishop of Chotanagpur Diocese  

The Rt. Rev. Basil Balea Baskey has been consecrated and installed as the 11^th Bishop of the Diocese of Chotanagpur, Church of North India, on 28^th October 2007 at St. Paul's Cathedral in Ranchi by the consecrating Bishops The Rt. Rev. Dr. P. P. Marandih,  The Rt. Rev. Dr. P. K. Dutta and  The Rt. Rev. Dr. P. C. Singh. The retired Bishop of the Diocese The Rt. Rev. Z. James Terom and the General Secretary of the Church of North India Synod Rev. Dr. Enos Das Pradhan also participated in the ceremony along with the Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand Mr Stephen Marandih.  The ceremony was attended by more than ten thousand members of the Diocese and the representatives of other churches including the Lutherans and the Roman Catholics.
