CWM Moderator Felicitated by
Nagpur
Diocesan Council
The
Nagpur Diocesan Council felicitated the
Rev. Dr
. Hewitt Roderick at a grand Felicitation Ceremony organized at
Nagpur
. Children and youth from different congregations and institutions
performed colorful and cultural programmes to welcome the Moderator.
Present among the dignitaries were Diocesan Bishop Paul Dupare,
Secretary and Heads of Trusts, Hospitals and Institutions.
The
felicitation was unique in the manner it was organized. Responding to
the honor the Moderator exclaimed that he was happy to have visited the
city where CNI was born. Then he threw a challenge at the gathering
referring to the 60th Anniversary of India’s
Independence
that Church can contribute remarkably towards the holistic development
of the nation by ensuring peace, justice, equality and communal harmony.
Church has to respond proactively to the missional call of Christ
and establish the
Kingdom
of
God
in
India
. His visit has encouraged
the Diocese and strengthened the bond between CWM and CNI.
