The Moderator of CWM Spends Time with Street Children in Nagpur  

The Conference Hall of CNI-SSI was melodious, joyful and dancing as the street children were at their best.  They sang, danced and smiled to welcome Rev. Dr. Hewitt Roderick, the Moderator of the Council for World Mission.  “It was a unique experience to spend time with the children and see their cultural performances” said Dr. Roderick, during his visit to the Church of North India – Social Services Institute at Nagpur on 11th August 2007.  

The CNI-SSI is presently focusing on liberation and rehabilitation of street children and child laborers in and around Nagpur , while spreading the movement to many other parts of North India .  It has established six contact points in the city, and one “Night Shelter” in the CNI -SSI campus for the street children.  Earlier Rev. S. Paranjyoti, Director of CNI-SSI welcomed the Moderator and felicitated him on behalf of the staff, trainees and Board Members.
