Drive to empower tribal women on cards

Jamshedpur: To empower tribal women across the state, Campaign for Right to Education in Jharkhand (CREJ) has identified 1,000 villages. The move aims at social activists, educationists and senior members of CREJ would hold a series of mass meetings with women, including senior citizens, to advocate their role in the effective functioning of gram sabhas at the grassroots level. ....more

 Obituary

Bishop John Elliot Ghose has been called home on July 6, 2007 at Nursing Home in Silliguri.  He was 79 and had been suffering for last few years with various ailments relating to diabetic and cardiac problem.
