DR. VINITA EUSEBIUS REELECTED CHAIRPERSON, SCMI

Dr. Vinita Eusebius has been re-elected as the Chairperson, Student Christian Movement of India for a second term in the General Committee of the SCMI held in Christian Retreat Center, Rajpur Road, Dehradun, from 30^th Aug to 2^nd Sep, 2007.

Member of the Church of North India, Diocese of Luncknow, Vinita Eusebius is a Reader in the Dept. of Zoology, Ewing Christian College, Allahabad.  She has been actively involved in the movement since last 33 years both as a student and then as a senior friend and staff advisor. She also serves as the Coordinator, Children's Concerns, Lucknow Diocese, CNI. Apart from a doctorate in Zoology, she has also completed B. C. S. (Bachelor of Christian Studies) from The Senate of Serampore and is presently pursuing her Master in Pastoral Theology from TAFTEE. She believes that the history of the past struggle for equality is a history of brave struggles by youth for transformation.

She is therefore committed to develop Communities of Volunteers to lead struggles in favor of women and children who are the most oppressed of all marginalized groups of the people.
