CHILDREN MINISTRY PRIORITY
FOR ST. STEPHEN’S SCHOOL
St. Stephen’s School, Ranaghat under the Diocese of Barrackpore celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Kavi Guru Rabindranath Tagore on 29th & 30th September 2011 by arranging Inter School cultural competition. 400 students from different schools attended the competition in several events like singing, dance, drawing and recitation and felicitation of newly elected M.P.’s and M.L.A.’s of Ranaghat and Mr. Haripada Das Principal St. Stephen’s School, Dumdum for his outstanding work in the field of education.

2ND DIOCESAN LEVEL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT, 2011
A three day football carnival was held in Darjeeling. The main purpose of the event was to foster goodwill among the young people of the Diocese of Eastern Himalaya and also to identify the budding talents in our church. The event was organized by Darjeeling Pastorate with the technical support from ‘Head Hi People’s Project’ at the St. Paul’s Junior Ground. The tournament formally started with prayer and kick off by Dr. Hriday Basumata, Diocesan Secretary. The tournament was played on a nine-a-side basis and thirteen teams from different pastorates participated. The tournament was conducted in two categories (i) Youth (ii) Veterans. In the Youth category the finals was played between Kalimpong Pastorate versus Mangwa Pastorate, where the former won by 3-1 goals lifting the trophy for the second
consecutive time. In the veteran category finals was played between the
Pastor’s Team Versus Darjeeling MFCS where the latter won. The chief
guest of the day was the Administrator of St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling,

DR. MRS. SUHASINI RACHEAL DUTTA HONORED
Dr. Mrs. Subhashini Rachel Dutta has been awarded the prestigious award by her Alma mater Christian Medical College Vellore for her meritorious services in Mission Hospitals for over 25 years. This was given to her by the Principal Dr. Alfred Daniel at the college day function on November 13, 2011.
Dr Subhashini Dutta has been working with her husband Dr. K. K. Dutta for the last 32 years in Christian Hospital Hatpiplia-C.N.I, Dist. Dewas M.P. This is a small rural hospital about 60 kms from Indore- a closed down hospital now revived by their joint efforts it has became a good referral hospital.
