Women’s Fellowship Organizes Orientation and Counseling Programme

April 28, 2010 marked a new programme in the history of the projects under Diocesan Women's Fellowship for Christian Service. “Orientation and Counseling programme" was organized for all the teachers of the slum project under DWFCS facilitated by Ms. Smita Singh, Director, After Care and Mr. Prabhat Felbash. Rev. Amiya Das led the opening prayer. And with active participation of the teachers Ms. Smita Singh took the introduction of all the teachers. It was not only a formal introduction but a deep psychological aspect that she wanted to know. A brief discussion was made on emotional, behavioral and physical apatite of the children studying in the various centers and Ms. Smita gave them the source of management equipment which will help the teachers to handle the problems.

An overview of the "Life skill Education" was imparted to the teachers which were published by World Health Organization at Geneva. On screen movie was shown on Human Trafficking which gave the teachers a broad idea on the slum area infrastructure relating it to the present world. Thus the programme was a huge success as the teachers have realized the need to these cases and learnt a lot about the behavioral management of the children in the present society
