Chandigarh Diocese’s Zonal Youth Camp Held at Phillaur

Zonal Youth Camp was held on 1st and 2nd May 2010 at the CNI Church, Phillaur, under the Diocese of Chandigarh. 70 young people from different zones participated. Rev. Danzel Peopols was the co-ordinator for the youth camp. The two days camp was divided into Eight sessions. The theme was “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation” (Acts 2:40). The resource persons were Rev. R P.Gideon, Rev. John Peter, Evangelist Johnson & Sister Renuka. Session were conducted on self esteem, innate energy, creative power of youth, youth and world, generation gaps, misconceptions & question, health talk and awareness of HIV- AIDS and other communicable diseases. Fun and talent show was also organized. The morning started with personal devotion and the day ended with prayer. 

Interactions, debates, and group discussions were appreciated by the youth. They demonstrated their thoughts on charts and asked questions. They were given questions regarding social issues for which they were asked to seek answers from the Bible and also through group discussion.

Discovering self in the mirror of Bible was new idea to them. They enjoyed quiz and question hour. Participants had interactions with each other, made new friends and built good interpersonal relationships.
