New Multislice C.T. Scan state-of-the-art machine Inaugurated
Wanless Hospital, Miraj Medical Centre, installed a new state-of-art Siemens Somatom Sensation 40 Multislice CT Scan machine, in the Department of Radio diagnosis, by courtesy and funded by ASHA USAID. The Rev. Dr. Enos Das Pradhan, General Secretary, CNI Synod dedicated this new machine to the glory of God and for the welfare of the community at large on February 8, 2010. He also inaugurated the Medical Centre. The Rev. Dr. Enos Das. Pradhan, while appreciating the sustained ministry of Wanless Hospital, Miraj Medical Centre for the last 115 years challenged the audience to engage in the mission of God with sustained enthusiasm. During the service he felicitated various dignitaries and persons involved in this project. The Rt. Rev. B.R. Tiwade, Bishop, Diocese of Kolhapur and the Chairperson of the Miraj Medical Centre presided over the function. Dr. Deepak Kamle, Director of Miraj Medical Centre, welcomed guests and gave a brief report on this project.
Special thanks were expressed by the community to ASHA USAID, all donor agencies involved in this project. This inauguration was well attended by all staff, students, and the community leaders including the local MLA.
It may be mentioned here that the Miraj Medical Centre has launched and completed two new projects – in year 2009-2010 - Phoenix Radiotherapy machine and Siemens 40 Slice CT Scanner.
