Mass cry from Whole NE Community on Gruesome rape and murder of minor girl

NE communities leaders went to Delhi Police Head Office, ITO, New Delhi and demanded justice for innocent minor girl who was raped and murdered by unknown neighbors yesterday at Mahipalpur, New Delhi. The delegation demanded Delhi police to arrest the culprits and absconding suspects immediately.

North East communities in Delhi and NCR have been targeted and continuously suffering at the hands of people for last four years. The young girls have been targeted, abused and assaulted sexually and physically. The mind set of people toward North Easterners living in Delhi and NCR as cheap, stranger and helpless community, do anything one likes and none will bother has been the major factors of the discrimination.

On top of these, the delay and denied and negligent of concerned police adds fuel to the fire of hurt and discrimination. In most of the cases where assaulted on NE communities, were denied and delayed in lodging the complaints. Until and unless media pressure mounted, most of concerned police bother.

Story does not end here. The cases registered by the concerned police station after much difficulties, Most of the cases registered
through the help of NE Helpline are not taken up to punish the culprits nor render justice to victims. NE Support Centre & Helpline team will soon meet the concerned CM and official to look into the cases pending and also to ensure appropriate measurement to prevent discrimination meted out not NE communities.

If the concerned police could have taken the action on time and punish the culprits according to law of the land equally, the discriminated could have prevented otherwise reduce much earlier. NE Support Centre & Helpline on behalf of the community appeals for immediate action to be taken for justice to innocent minor girl raped and murdered gruesome manner and prevent further discrimination.
