VERTICAL ADDITONS OF TWO FLOORS OF CNI BHAVAN DEDICATED

“If you have faith and sincerity and trust in the Lord nothing is impossible to achieve.  A dream that was dreamt thirty years ago has been fulfilled today,” lauded The Rev. Dr. Enos Das Pradhan, General Secretary, Church of North India Synod.  He was speaking at the Dedication Service of the Vertical Addition of the fourth and fifth floors of CNI Bhavan, on March 30, 2009.  Present on the occasion were former CNI Moderators, ecumenical partners, CNI Diocesan Bishops, CNI Executive Committee members, members of the CNI Dioceses and the members of the CNI Bhavan Community.  The Rev. Dr. Pradhan narrated in detail the process of building the floors for the glory of God and for the use of His people, for His unity, witness and Service.

The dedication service began with unveiling of the dedication plaque by The Most Rev. Purely Lyngdoh, Moderator, Church of North India, along with The Rev. Dr. Philip P. Marandih, Deputy Moderator, Church of North India, The Rev. Dr. Enos Das Pradhan, General Secretary, CNI Synod, Mr. Kalyan Peterson, Treasurer, CNI Synod and host of guests and friends from all over the CNI. The unveiling of the plaque was followed by a solemn service of dedication.  “Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine” hymn reverberated the atmosphere as the members went in procession. 

At the outset, The Most Rev. D. K. Mohanty, The Most Rev. Z. J. Terom and The Most Rev. Joel V. Mal, former Moderators, Church of North India, while congratulating the present Office Bearers for this achievement praised and thanked God for enabling in completing this unfinished task, which began in their tenures.  On the occasion a Memento depicting the CNI Bhavan was released by The Most Rev. Purely Lyngdoh, which was gifted to all the members present. 

Mathew 7 and Colossians were the biblical references of the message delivered by The Most Rev. Purely Lyngdoh, Moderator, Church of North India.  The Moderator further said, “it is a historic day for all of us.  It is because of the efforts of many specially The Rev. Dr. Enos Das Pradhan, General Secretary, that the Lord built this house. Every member of our congregations one way or the other is involved, through prayers and through good wishes. He reminded every member present that we need to commit ourselves to yet another act of building and that is building our congregations and members.” When we commit ourselves to the Lord it is shown to the world through: the manifestation that we live in Christ, that we live in communion with Christ, that we are growing in the Lord – in terms of spiritual life, love for church and real unity witness and service, it will also manifest gratitude and thankfulness.

Students of St. Thomas Girls Higher Secondary School, Mandir Marg, Delhi led the gathering in singing the Lords prayer.
