CNI Policy on Education Adopted at the Synod

The Church of North India affirms that education not only builds character but also a nation.  Therefore, its importance in socialization cannot be ruled out.  The church, a pioneering missionary movement for education in India and elsewhere, has to be more proactive than ever before in promoting right sense of education or quality education.  For which a proper educational policy should be in its place.  Keeping this in mind the Church of North India had been processing ideas, ideologies with theological conviction to empower and to equip its educational institutions run and managed either directly by the Synod or by its Dioceses to make education worth a pursuit by each one and everyone living in the society.  It must be a service and not a business!

The Church of North India had organized two rounds of national consultation with the Bishops, academicians, experts, and Principals where different aspects of education and its structural and institutional viabilities were minutely discussed.  As a result it was able to come out with a draft policy which was cheerfully adopted by the 13th Ordinary Synod authorizing the Executive Committee to draw up the action plan.  The policy will be a guide the educational institutions run by Church of North India to make education what it is supposed to be.
