The
financial and entertainment Capital of India, Mumbai, was targeted
once again by terrorists last week which left nearly 190 dead and 300
people severely wounded in key places of importance such as Hotel Taj
International, Hotel Trident International, Hotel Oberoi and Nariman
House. Rev. Dr. Enos Das
Pradhan, General Secretary of Church of North India has issued a
statement condemning the attacks terming it as ‘national shame’ as
many visitors from other countries were also taken hostage by the
terrorists and eventually got killed. Rev. Pradhan has expressed his solidarity with the ones who have lost family members and friends and appealed to the people to stand united against violence and terrorism irrespective of caste, class and creed. He has also saluted the bravery of police personnel and Anti Terror Squad who risked their lives and embraced martyrdom fighting with the terrorists so that others could be saved. The Church of North India has always been a harbinger of peace and stand by its commitment to support people’s movement to curb terrorism. |
