Greetings to you from the Synod of the Church of North India.

Thank you for your prayers for our brothers and sisters in Orissa who are being persecuted unduly by the Hindu fanatics.  We have received scores of comforting emails from many of you.  God has heard your prayers and as a result now the Centre has imposed Article 355 on Orissa and Karnataka.  

The Union Government’s decision to invoke Article 355 of the Constitution is a warning to the administrations of Orissa and Karnataka that Centre will intervene if they do not immediately bring to a halt the continuing violence by the Sangh Parivar (VHP and Bajrang Dal) against the Christian community.  Please keep us in your prayers as we are engaged in demanding justice for our people.
