Condemns the recent Bomb Blasts
“As citizens
of India we have a right to live without fear.
The political parties should stop the blame game and come
together keeping aside their differences to find a solution to the
terror menace let loose by some outfits in the name of religion in the
country”, said the Rev. Dr. Enos Das Pradhan, General Secretary of
the Synod of the Church of North India in a statement by the Church of
North India. While
condemning the dastardly act of terror and violence he demanded
concerted effort and united action from the ruling and the opposition
parties both at the centre and the States to deal with the terrorism.
A
series of 17 synchronized bombings ripped through Gujarat’s main
city of Ahmedabad on 26th July 2008 evening, a day after
terror rocked India’s IT hub Bengaluru (Bangalore), leaving at least
15 people dead and over 100 injured, with the central government
sounding a nation-wide alert. Officially
unconfirmed reports put the toll at 26.
India
has suffered a wave of bombings in recent years, with targets ranging
from mosques and Hindu temples to trains.
