Inaugurating the Conference Bishop P. C. Singh challenged the delegates to play active role in their local congregations, in their own community and in society at large. He also reiterated the need to exalt the name of Lord Jesus Christ through our Christian behaviour and lifestyle. Bishop Singh said that the young generation is a torch bearer of faith and that they must rise to the occasion and be the salt and the light of the earth. Dn. Rajesh Masih (Bilaspur) encouraged youth leaders to train youth ministers and to develop new programs for the leadership potential of the youth. He also asked youth to take various initiatives in local youth level DYFC also engages in youth advocacy and in promoting youth ministry as a priority among clergy and lay people and by fostering recognition of youth as full and equal participants in the life and growth of the church. Rev. Ms. Sushma Singh motivated the youth by reminding them of the promises given in the Bible by Lord Jesus Christ for them. She talked about the promises which will be fulfilled in this generation. God’s promises are yea and amen and they will come to pass in each of the youth’s life. Mrs. Tanuja Paul and Mrs. Ram motivated the youth with their personal testimonies and stressed on prayerful life and their personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. They emphasized that by prayer we can move mountains. Rev.
Anil Chauhan took the concluding session of the DYFC Rally 2008 in which
he told the young people that we are the light of the world and so we
must shine like Jesus and our life should be an epitome of love purity,
faith and goodness. On
7th June, 2008 cultural programme was organized for all the CYFs.
Everyone participated and presented their programmes in the form of
songs, dances, short plays, witnesses, games etc. with great enthusiasm
and in a spirit of love and harmony.
On Sunday the 8th of June, the participants attended church
service in CNI Disciples Church, Bilaspur. |
