Dr.
Mrs. Margaret Kishan, wife of Dr. Samuel Kishan, Chief Functionary and
Secretary of our Synodical Board of Health Services (SBHS) died at her
residence in Indore this morning after a brief illness. She was the
Medical Superintendent of the Christian Hospital, Indore under the
management of SBHS. Dr.
Margaret Kishan was a God fearing and committed lady who brought about
testifying and visible changes in the life and services of the Hospital
which caters to the medical needs of thousands of people, especially the
poor, women and children in and around the region. Her leadership
quality, soft spoken yet firm determination has been appreciated by one
and all. As a skilled
doctor, specialized Gynaecologist, she cheered the lives of many and
has, thus, preached the Gospel of healing through her services and
commitment for the last 42 years. She
had joined the Hospital in 1976 and in 1992 became its Medical
Superintendent. She had also
served the Central Region Board of Health Services as its Secretary and
Treasurer and exhibited outstanding leadership in protecting the image
of the Hospital from the beleaguered Court cases and other legal issues
that were affecting the ministry and services of the Hospital.
Her death is a great loss to the Church of North India. The
Moderator and all members of the Church of North India deeply mourn her
death. We request you all to
